Injury Crash Involving Semi Truck on I-26 in Asheville

On Monday morning, there was a four-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on I-26 in Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened in the eastbound lanes, between Exits 33 and 37. Very few details about this crash have been released, but we do know that three vehicles and a semi truck were involved, and the wreck resulted in a fiery blaze. Initial reports indicate that a Volkswagen Jetta hit a Chevy Silverado, and the Silverado hit a semi truck. The Silverado left the roadway, overturned and caught fire. Additionally, the Jetta struck another vehicle during the collision.

Semi Truck Crash in Polk County

Earlier this week, there was a semi truck crash on Interstate 26 in Polk County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened just south of the Saluda exit on Monday afternoon. Very few details about this wreck have been released, but initial reports indicate that a passenger occupant vehicle and a big rig were involved. First responders rushed to the scene, where they had to extricate an occupant from the smaller vehicle.

Tractor-Trailer Crash on Highway 64

On Tuesday, there was a tractor-trailer crash on Highway 64 in Macon County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened near Buck Creek road, west of Highlands. Very few details about this truck crash have been released, but we do know that the truck was hauling railroad ties at the time of the wreck. Initial reports indicate that the truck driver reportedly swerved to avoid hitting an oncoming vehicle. The maneuver caused the load to shift, and the truck swayed and overturned into the creek.

Semi Truck Crash in West Asheville

On Tuesday, there was a semi truck crash in West Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Interstate 40, near exit 44. Very few details about this crash have been released, but we do know that at least three vehicles were involved. Initial reports indicate that a fuel tank on the semi truck ruptured during the crash, and fuel spilled onto the roadway. A Hazmat unit was called to the scene to clean the spill.

Tractor-Trailer crash on I 26 in Asheville

Last week, there was a semi truck crash on Interstate 26 in Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened between Brevard Road and Long Shoals Road. Very little information has been released about this crash, but initial reports indicate that the tractor-trailer left the roadway and hit the guardrail on the shoulder. The truck driver has been charged with failure to maintain lane control. Thankfully, no other vehicles appeared to be involved in the truck crash.

Semi Truck Crash in Buncombe County

Over the weekend, there was a semi truck crash on I-26 in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Saturday morning near Glenn Bridge Road. Very few details about this truck crash have been released, but we do know that an eastbound semi truck veered off of the roadway. Initial reports indicate that the truck driver may have swerved to avoid hitting debris in the roadway. At least one person was injured in this crash. The cause of this tractor-trailer wreck is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.

Crash Involving Woodfin Police and Semi Truck

Last week, there was a crash involving a Woodfin Police Department vehicle and a semi truck. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Friday morning, at about 6:30 a.m. Very little information has been released about this crash, but initial reports indicate that it occurred along Interstate 40 East, near mile maker 31, in Haywood County. A semi truck slammed into the back of a Woodfin Police Department patrol car that was responding to a crash scene.

Crash Involving Two Semi Trucks in Buncombe County

Earlier this week, there was a crash involving two semi trucks and two passenger vehicles in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened at about 3:00 a.m., on I-40, in Candler. Very little information has been released about this truck crash, but initial reports indicate that one of the semi trucks may have hit black ice. The tractor-trailer jack knifed, and caused a chain reaction crash with the semi truck behind it and another two vehicles.

Tractor Trailer Overturned in Haywood County

On Monday, a tractor-trailer in Haywood County overturned on I-40. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the wreck happened just before 10:45 a.m., near Cold Springs Creek Road. Very few details have been released about this semi truck crash, but we do know that the livestock truck was hauling live pigs. Initial reports indicate that there were at least 100 pigs in the truck at the time of the crash. The truck driver was reportedly headed west on I-40, near MM7, when he lost control of the vehicle.

Fatal Semi Truck Crash in Marion

Over the weekend, there was a fatal crash involving a Kia Sportage and a tractor-trailer in Marion. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the wreck happened at the intersection of 221 and 226 South at about 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. Very few details about this fatal crash have been released, but we do know that a northbound semi truck on N.C. 226 entered the intersection of 226 and 221 as another vehicle was entering from the opposite direction. Initial reports indicate that the vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection, and the wreckage came to rest just north of the intersection, on the 221 North Bypass.
