On Tuesday afternoon, a vehicle in Hendersonville struck a roadside construction worker. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the collision happened on Howard Gap Road near Cat Ridge Lane. Very few details about this incident have been reported, but we do know that the injured construction worker was airlifted to Mission Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Initial reports indicate that the construction worker was working to put wiring and cable underground near the roadside, when a vehicle struck him from behind. He was reportedly awake and alert when first responders arrived, but he didn't know where he was. A coworker reported that he was pitched into the air before landing on the street face first.
