Multi Vehicle Crash in Buncombe County

Crash on I-26 Near Brevard Road

Earlier this week, there was a wreck on I-26 near Brevard Road. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened early Monday morning. Very little information has been released about this wreck, but initial reports indicate that a portion of the roadway, near N.C. 191 in Buncombe County, had to be closed for a period of time. There has been no word on whether or not anybody was injured in the crash.

Injury Crash on I-240

On Tuesday morning, a person was injured in an apparent one-vehicle crash on I-240 in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened in the eastbound lane of the highway, near the 74A exit, at about 11:00 a.m. Very little information has been released about this one-car crash, but initial reports indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle and it hit a guardrail. The vehicle overturned near mile marker eight.

Injury Crash in Buncombe County

Last week, there was an injury crash involving an ejected driver in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on New Leicester Highway at the Newfound Road intersection. Very little information has been released about this two-vehicle crash, but we do know that one person was ejected from a vehicle. Initial reports indicate that a Ford Focus collided with an Acura when turning left on Newfound Road from New Leicester Highway. The Acura reportedly overturned during the wreck. The driver and sole occupant in the Acura was ejected from the vehicle.

Four Injured in Buncombe County Van Crash

On Monday morning, four people were injured when a van crashed into an off-duty police officer's vehicle in Buncombe County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened at New Leicester Highway and Newfound Road. Initial reports indicate that the 69-year-old van driver ran a stop sign and crashed into the off-duty cop's car.
