On Wednesday, a car crashed into a Hendersonville doctor's office. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Fleming Street. Very few details about this crash have been released, but we do know that two people were pinned inside of the building after the crash. The 86-year-old driver involved was reportedly trying to park at the time of the wreck.
After four deaths along a particular stretch of Kanuga Road since December, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (DOT) is taking steps to improve safety on the Hendersonville roadway. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the DOT is getting ready to widen the road from 9 to 11 feet. Additionally, they're also going to add an additional four-foot paved shoulder for bicycles. Also in the plans, is a sidewalk from Erikwood to Church Street.
