Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Blue Ridge Parkway

Over the weekend, there was a fatal multi-vehicle crash that involved a motorcycle on the Blue Ridge Parkway. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Sunday afternoon near Ox Creek Road and Town Mountain Road, at the Tanbark Ridge Overlook. Very few details have been released about this crash, but we do know that a motorcyclist was killed. Initial reports indicate that a vehicle turned in front of a motorcycle and hit it. The impact caused the motorcycle to crash into another motorcycle. The rider on the first motorcycle was killed in the crash. Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Hendersonville County

Over the weekend, there was a fatal motorcycle crash in Hendersonville County. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Chimney Rock Road at Hominy Branch Road on Sunday night at about 9:30 p.m. Very few details about the crash have been released, but initial reports indicate that a female passenger on the motorcycle was ejected during the wreck. She reportedly hit a guardrail and suffered from a fatal head injury. The driver of the motorcycle was also injured in the crash. That person was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, law enforcement officials are looking into whether speed and intoxication could have been factors in this crash.

Motorcycle Crash in Clyde

Over the weekend, there was a motorcycle injury crash in Clyde. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the wreck happened in Haywood County at about 5:00 p.m. on an I-40 ramp. Very few details have been released, but we do know that the wreck occurred along I-40 west on the bridge close to Exit 27 near Clyde. For currently unknown reasons, the motorcycle ran off of the roadway and hit a guardrail. The motorcycle rider was seriously injured in the crash, but there has been no word on that person's current condition or on the full extent of injuries. No other vehicles appeared to be involved, but the crash is still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.

Last week, there was a motorcycle injury crash in West Asheville. According to WLOS ABC News Channel 13, the incident happened on Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Starnes Cove and Old Haywood Roads. Very few details about this motorcycle crash have been released, but initial reports indicate that a motorcycle and another vehicle were involved. The motorcyclist was seriously injured in the crash. That person was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on the current condition or the extent of injuries involved, and the cause of this crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
