Very few details about this truck crash have been released, but we do know that no other vehicles or injuries were initially reported. There has been no word on the cause of the crash either, which is still under investigation with law enforcement authorities. Crashes involving commercial trucking vehicles typically take longer to investigate than crashes involving traditional passenger occupant vehicles. Truck drivers and commercial trucking companies have additional rules and regulations to follow in order to keep roadways safe for all vehicles.

Truck Accident Investigations

In accident cases involving commercial trucking vehicles, it's not uncommon to have multiple investigative agencies working at the same time. In addition to the traditional rules of the road, truck drivers also have to comply with regulations set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Since these vehicles are so much larger and heavier than other cars and trucks on the road, it's essential to determine exactly what happened to cause an accident. If drivers or trucking companies were negligent in any way, investigators need to find out.
