Why We're Different

Our law firm offers something special to people seriously injured in motor vehicle collisions and other types of accidents caused by someone's carelessness that violates the law. Brian Davis, our lead lawyer, is a nationally recognized trial lawyer. He has received the highest rating (AV) for both legal ability and ethics by the leading organization that evaluates attorneys nationwide - Martindale-Hubble. Less than 5% of all attorneys have an AV rating. Mr. Davis is also a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum - a group of trial attorneys made up from less than one-percent of all trial attorneys across the country. Mr. Davis is well-versed in the language of insurance claims, and he knows the tactics used by insurance adjusters to convince injured persons to settle their case for less than full value and without hiring a lawyer. A combination of compassion and experience allows our firm to fully understand the wide variety of our clients' needs created as the result of a serious injury.

A Sense of Honor and Dedication to Each Client

You will find our philosophy quite different than most other law firms. Many personal injury law firms advertise on TV, radio, billboards, and in the newspaper to try and get as many clients as possible. These high volume personal injury firms will often accept 250 or more clients per lawyer, then delegate the vast majority of the work in the case to a team of legal assistants or paralegals - leaving the client feeling like they're being represented by a non-lawyer. In contrast, Davis Law Group limits the number of cases our firm will handle - representing a small number of seriously hurt clients at a time (sometimes as few as 25 cases in the firm), to ensure that each client receives the highest quality legal and personal service. At a high volume personal injury firm, you may never meet the lawyer you've hired to represent you. But at Davis Law Group, initial client meetings typically last two to five hours - with the new client meeting personally with Attorney Brian Davis - depending on facts of your case and the complexity of your injuries.

The Importance of Communicating with Clients

At Davis Law Group, we feel that communicating with our clients is one of the most important things we do. For that reason, we place a very high value on listening to what our clients have to say. Communicating means both talking and listening. We also place a high degree of importance on telephone calls and returning calls to clients who leave voice mail messages. Brian Davis believes that all phone calls should be returned promptly, at least within 24 hours. At Davis Law Group, you will not be left wondering why your lawyer will not call you back.

Meeting the Challenges of the Insurance Industry

The insurance claims process is rapidly changing. These changes are aimed at cutting claims values regardless of the merits of the injured person's claim, and we have seen that process progress even more since the economy started going downhill in 2008. Insurance companies are wanting to hold onto their money for longer and longer. What worked 10 years ago for law firms and injury claims, is no longer effective. Instead of clinging to what may have worked in the past, we have faced these challenges head on. Our firm works diligently to provide modern insurers the appropriate information necessary to allow for a full and fair evaluation of your claim to provide the insurer the best possible opportunity to fairly settle a claim. But, many insurers have turned to evaluating claims not with a human, but instead a computer system, in order to reduce settlement offers to unreasonable amounts. As a result, we take a special approach with these cases. Often, we provide insurance adjusters with videotaped interviews of treating physicians talking about the severity of our clients' injuries, the huge impact the injuries have had on their lives, and how the injuries will affect them for the rest of their life. This technique and several others demonstrate to insurance adjusters that our firm is unique in that we are willing to go the extra step for our clients, and that we are prepared to go to court if the case is not fairly evaluated and resolved.

Trial Lawyers

At Davis Law Group, we believe that not every case should be settled for whatever small amount of money the insurer will offer, simply to avoid the risk and extra work of going to trial. When your life has been permanently changed for the worse, as most of our clients lives have been as the result of another person's carelessness, we take the position that settlement is an option only when the amount offered reasonably compensates our client for the permanent changes in the quality of their life. When the insurance company acts unreasonably and the settlement offer is not fair, then we take the case to trial, so that a jury of your peers can determine a fair value for your injuries. Regrettably, there are very few personal injury lawyers who will actually go to trial. This causes insurance companies to devalue cases handled by those lawyers regardless of the merits of the case. At Davis Law Group, we have built a solid reputation on representing quality people who are seriously injured, and that we will take any case we accept all the way through jury trial if the insurer does not treat you fairly.

Becoming a Client

While most of our new client meetings take place in our offices in the Biltmore Building in Asheville, Mr. Davis is also available to meet with you in the hospital or your home if you are physically unable to visit our office. Either way, the initial phone consultation, and the initial personal consultation, are free. You have no risk, and no obligation by calling to discuss your case.

If you have been seriously injured and wish to speak to Brian Davis about your case, you may call him toll free at 866-397-2897.

We handle personal injury cases on a contingency fee basis. This means: You don't owe us a legal fee for our time unless we recover money for you. The initial phone consultation is free, as is the first appointment in our office. After that, you have no obligation to hire us if you don't feel comfortable with us.
